Some engagement sessions just hit different. Alexandria & David’s session at 📍Backstory Coffee Roasters (linked here) in Minneapolis was the perfect mix of cozy, modern, and full-on puppy love—literally. Their sweet pup Zoey totally stole the show (and our hearts). 🐾

We instantly knew we were in for something special when Zoey made it clear she was fully invested in her parents’ coffee date—especially their scones. 😂 She’d pop up from under the table or lean across their laps for a sniff anytime Alexandria and David leaned in for a kiss, and honestly? She was committed to the baked goods vibe – and who could blame her!? Yum!

These two brought all the laid-back charm and genuine connection we love to photograph, and pairing it with a local coffee shop made it feel even more personal. The smell of espresso, the cozy corners, and the little community of other dog-loving patrons added to the whole energy of the session. Zoey was not only adorable—she was polite/friendly even during their peak business hours (a total coffee shop pro!).

🐾 A Quick Pup-Safety Note:

All dogs remain leashed during our sessions—always! We’re big fans of keeping your pup safe and following local leash laws, especially in public spaces like parks and in this case, coffee shops. We simply edit the leash out later for that majestic, off-leash look you see in our photos. Safety first.
