We met up with the incredibly talented music photography duo Lizzy + Trevor at Honeymoon Island State Park in Florida last month, and guess what – They WILLINGLY got absolutely soaked and played around on the beach / in the water for their engagement session with us!

Both are very distinguished in their art and are very newly engaged (Trevor popped the question during Papa Roach’s set on the Shiprocked Cruise they were photographing). Once I heard the happy news I reached out to Lizzy when I booked a wedding in their area and we decided to make this all happen!

I actually have been friends with Lizzy online now for a while now. since I was way more heavily involved in the music photography scene before weddings became my specialty – and it just worked out to finally meet in person after all this time and take some photos together! Gotta love when the stars align and you can hang out with like-minded people and create some gorgeous images together and turn a long distance digital friendship into very real life ones.

Despite a cactus misstep ( cough, cough – Trevor haha * Photos Below * ) it was a super good time and we all went and grabbed dinner and margaritas together afterwards – where I discovered Lizzy loves nachos as much as I do #destinedtobefriends. Love these guys and cannot wait to see them again!

AND THEN… Lizzy and I decided to have a majestic-mermaid-hair-flip-and-run-on-the-beach-moment… Yasss… I seriously love everything about Lizzy’s hair – and fun fact – she does all of that incredible coloring HERSELF. Say what!? Exactly. I was shocked to learn this myself.
